SAFEGUARDING BOARDS
The Safeguarding Children Boards in each local authority work with key agencies to ensure the safety of young people in their boroughs.
If you are worried that your child or a child in your care is at risk of, or is a victim of child sexual exploitation (CSE), please see the areas below for the contact details of your local Safeguarding Children Board:
St Helens
If you suspect a child is being abused in St Helens, please call The Contact Centre on 01744 676600.
If you wish to talk to a Social Worker you will be put through to the First Response Team.
Or outside normal office hours you can contact the Emergency Duty Team on 0845 050 0148.
Sefton
If you are worried that a child in Sefton may be suffering significant harm, or if you are concerned that a child has suffered harm, neglect or abuse,
please Call 0845 140 0845 (minicom 0151 934 4657) between 8am and 6pm.
Contact the emergency duty team on 0151 920 8234 for urgent advice outside of office hours (from 5.30pm Mon to Thurs, and 4pm Friday and weekends).
Liverpool
If you are worried about a child in Liverpool you should contact Liverpool's Careline Children's Service on 0151 233 3700. Phone lines are open 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
Wirral
If you are worried about a child in Wirral, the Wirral Council Central Advice and Duty Team (CADT) (during office hours) on 0151 606 2008.
Out of hours, call the Wirral Council Emergency Duty Team on 0151 677 6557.
Knowsley
If you are worried about a child in Knowsley,
please call the MASH Team on 0151 442 600.
